So many speculations and rumors arose regarding the cancellation of Fox's TV series Wayward Pines. Basing on its weird ending in season 1, many stated that the show might not have a chance at getting a second season. As it turned out, they were wrong. Fox Broadcasting Company, the company that is responsible for the airing of the TV series, have announced that the show was a huge hit and it is with no doubt that there will be a second season. The network's president of Entertainment David Madden and the production team behind the Wayward Pines have signaled a go and will set to return in the summer of 2016.
There is so much in store for the fans and viewers out there. Expect a lot of suspense and thrill as the team will up their performance levels and improve their storytelling skills to better catch more viewers' attentions. There will be 10 episodes for the new season continuing from where they left off. Chaos will unravel as residents try their best to preserve their race. The stars are set to reprise their roles with M. Night Shyamalan as the executive producer. We will also get to welcome a new character that will deal with all the mayhem that the rebellion's been causing.
The show has an estimated 9.4 million viewers in its first season, with the age bracket of viewers ranging from 18 to 49 years old. It has earned a whooping 86 out of 100 from Rotten Tomatoes, no wonder it was a huge hit. This just goes to show that the team is good at getting the people hooked to the story from start to finish.
