Starbucks Japan is offering something new in February, and it is the Sakura White Chocolate with Milk Pudding drink. This is coming earlier as most sakura-related items and food are mostly being offered in Japan in early March, just in time when cherry blossoms are also in full bloom.
The new Sakura White Chocolate with Milk Pudding is probably the first sakura sweet threat to be introduced in Japan this year. As per SoraNews24, the newest dessert beverage is Starbucks Japan’s latest addition to its line of Chilled Cup drinks, which is only available at Japanese convenience stores.
It was added that most of the Chilled Cup line of Starbucks Japan is either coffee or coffee-based, but this new item is purely a dessert beverage without any caffeine. Suntory, the local partner of the American coffee chain, described the new menu addition as fragrant and exuding the cherry blossom aroma. It is sweet white milk chocolate that features a pudding-like texture and no hint of fruity taste.
In the press release, Suntory stated that the new drink is served in a plastic cup with a dome-shaped cover that will remind you of Frappuccino. The cup is pink with a bit of light blue that represents the sky. The cherry blossoms complete the design to illustrate the spring scenery.
Customers can head to Starbucks Japan stores nationwide starting Feb. 8 to try the new Sakura White Chocolate with Milk Pudding. It can be purchased for 237 yen or around US$2.05. Entabe reported that the new flavor in the coffee chain’s Chilled Cup series would also be available in convenience stores in Japan.
The Sakura White Chocolate with Milk Pudding is a seasonal beverage, so it will only be at Starbucks Japan store outlets for a limited time. For fans who love the brand and white chocolate they must try it as soon as it is released since the luxurious creamy spring drink may be gone from the menu just after a few weeks. Finally, this is a unique Chilled Cup flavor as it can also be enjoyed as a dessert, and this is why it cannot be missed.
