Starbucks Japan announces the arrival of its new fall menu lineup. The coffee chain shared that these tasty drinks and treats were designed by its own baristas and staff, so they are more special.
Starbucks Japan is getting into the spirit of the fall season by releasing new food and drink items through the launch of its “Artful Autumn @ Starbucks” event which is now in its fifth year. The said event is when employees create new items based on a given concept for the season.
The new fall menu is coming on Sept. 1, and it will include new latte drinks such as the Mont Blac Latte, Marone Cassis Frappuccino, Roasted Chestnut Latte, and Honey Marron Latte. These will be available in Starbucks stores across Japan until Sept. 20 or while supplies last, as per the report.
The offering of seasonal food and drinks is common in Starbucks around the world and in Japan, stores often create unique flavors. While these are usually available for a limited time only, they always become hits with the customers. Once the sale is over, it is common for customers to look forward to a particular season for the return of their favorite food or drinks.
In Japan, fall is when food establishments create a menu that goes well with the season. This year, Starbucks announced the “Our Harvest Table” concept for its “Artful Autumn Starbucks” annual event. Representatives from three different areas develop their Starbucks-style products using only autumn ingredients, and these are eventually released in the stores.
“This year, based on the concept of “Our Harvest Table,” Starbucks-style products that express the deliciousness of autumn ingredients in the hands of partners (employees) will appear, “ Starbucks Coffee Japan Co. said in a press release. “The drinks devised by coffee ambassadors convey the charm of coffee and three new lattes that combines coffee and ‘marron’ were developed in each of the three areas.”
The 2022 fall drinks were designed by Starbucks coffee ambassadors from Central Japan, West Japan, East Japan, and Starbucks Reserve Roastery Tokyo. The ambassadors are actually employees who were chosen through competition. They made the new drinks mentioned earlier, especially for this year’s fall season.
The new Starbucks lattes are priced from ¥520 and ¥660, depending on the size. Lastly, the coffee chain in Japan will also sell autumn-themed foods this month such as the Nameraka Chestnut Montblanc pie filled with nuts, apples, and creamy custard.
