NEW YORK, Oct. 03, 2017 -- Greystone Bel Real Estate Advisors announced today Stephen Van Riper will lead the commercial real estate sales advisory group’s Capital Markets efforts. In this newly-created role, Mr. Van Riper will complement the Greystone Bel Real Estate Advisors’ sales team with a 20-year background in broad multifamily real estate finance and investment.
Prior to Greystone Bel Real Estate Advisors, Mr. Van Riper was Chief Financial Officer of a real estate development company where he oversaw the financing of over 20 multifamily properties. Mr. Van Riper also spent many years in the fee-based multifamily management sector where he assisted clients in the acquisition, disposition, and financing of over 100 multifamily properties.
“Having a perspective on the customer side of the financing and sale or acquisition process is critical to Greystone Bel Real Estate Advisors being able to provide a holistic approach to assessing the next steps for a particular asset or group of properties in a multifamily portfolio,” said Mr. Van Riper. “I look forward to approaching customers’ challenges with a unique point of view and helping them to reach their investment objectives.”
“Steve’s background will be an asset to our all-encompassing client approach, which is to maximize opportunities and find the right solution or next steps for each individual asset, while optimizing value for the entire portfolio,” said Cary Belovicz, Executive Managing Director, Greystone Bel Real Estate Advisors.
