It was confirmed that the “Sword Art Online: Alicization - War of Underworld” has already reached its finale and just a few episodes left before the season closes. Anime News Network reported that episode 13 will pick up from the previous chapter’s "Ray of Light."
This means that the Human Empire is still battling the 30,000 American players who were deceived into signing up for a beta version, but in reality, it was to attack the Underworld. As both the armies from the Dark Territory and the Human Empire are being killed by the Americans, the Pugilists led by Iskahn have decided to join forces with the Human Empire so they can save everyone in the Underworld.
Vecta abandons his army
“Sword Art Online: Alicization - War of Underworld” episode 13 been titled "The Great Underworld War." Apparently, the title already disclosed the big war that will take place, and the leaders are expected to be in the frontlines to topple the enemies. Fans can expect Asuna, Bercouli, Renly, and Sheyta, along with Iskahn, to fight the thousands of Americans that will be deployed to destroy their world.
It became obvious that Vecta has already abandoned his army after getting what he wants, and that is Alice. After capturing the Priestess of Light, he set out to bring Alice to the Administrator, and as this has been his main goal all along, he does not have any use for his army since he is leaving the Underworld anyway. It is yet to see how Alice would be saved from his hands in “Sword Art Online: Alicization - War of Underworld” episode 13.

“Sword Art Online: Alicization - War of Underworld” episode 13 is set to return in April as confirmed on SAO’s official social media page. Fans can look forward to 11 more episodes before season 3 finally concludes.
