“Sword Art Online” Season 3 Episode 2 will have Kirito transported into the Underworld again. However, this time around, he’s able to take his memories from the real world with him, Otaku Art reported.
As such, he’ll be aware that his consciousness is inside a game and tries to log himself out of it. Of course, that will not work and Kirito will have no choice but to explore the area to find a possible avenue of escape. “Sword Art Online” Season 3 Episode 2 will have the show’s main protagonist stumble through the Underworld without the help of his reliable allies.
This plot development will be an integral piece in the narrative moving forward as the stakes for this installment are higher than ever. While the previous seasons did emphasize that an in-game death means Kirito will fall into a vegetative state, they didn’t exactly follow through with this threat. But this time, it seems that the plot will impose this very fact on the show’s characters. “Sword Art Online” Season 3 Episode 2 will be the stepping stone which the series will take in order to have audiences on the edge of their seats.
This installment is going to be the series’ most ambitious yet as it’s set to ask and answer questions as to what consequences the full-dive VR has in the real world. So far, most of the threats on the show are centered on the protagonists and their precarious adventures in multiple MMORPG worlds. But now, that threat will bleed out into the real world and the events that will take place in “Sword Art Online” Season 3 Episode 2 will herald the upcoming changes.
One of the dangers the technology will bring into reality is the use of AI in warfare. Fortunately, Rath has yet to perfect the technology and hasn’t gotten over the obstacle of having AI break rules. This development is crucial since the disobedience of an AI means it’s able to create decisions for itself without the supervision of its creator. “Sword Art Online” Season 3 Episode 2 will air on Oct. 13.
