Taco Bell is heating its menu with the nationwide release of Disha Hot Sauce on September 26, 2024. Created in collaboration with musician Omar Apollo, the sauce draws from his family's traditional recipe, combining peppers and roasted tomatillos with a secret spice blend.
Taco Bell Heats Up Menus with Disha Hot Sauce, Inspired by Omar Apollo’s Family Recipe
Something exciting is heating up at Taco Bell, and it's smoky, savory, and rich in tradition.
Few ingredients can rival hot sauce's power when adding depth and spice to fast food. Known for its bold flavors, hot sauce is not only a staple in Mexican cuisine but is also beloved across the U.S., especially in Southern states, where chili peppers thrive. Taco Bell is embracing this love for spice with its latest release: a brand-new hot sauce packet and a discovery box to enjoy.
Taco Bell has launched the all-new Disha Hot Hot Sauce Packets and the Disha Hot Discovery Box in collaboration with Mexican-American musician Omar Apollo. The Disha Hot Hot Sauce draws inspiration from Apollo’s family roots and his mother’s original sauce recipe. The sauce combines peppers, onions, roasted tomatillos, lime juice, tomatoes, and white vinegar, infused with a secret spice blend from the Apollo family.
Available exclusively for Taco Bell Rewards members starting on September 24, the sauce will be rolled out nationwide on September 26, 2024. Each packet costs 20 cents and can be paired with any Taco Bell favorite.
Taco Bell Launches Disha Hot Discovery Box and Exclusive Omar Apollo Kit for Rewards Members
In addition, Taco Bell introduces the Disha Hot Discovery Box, featuring three Disha Hot Hot Sauce packets, a crunchy taco, a Cheese Gordita Crunch, and a Doritos Locos Taco, all accompanied by nacho cheese sauce, chips, and a medium drink for $8.99.
To celebrate the launch, Taco Bell Rewards members can also claim a limited-edition Taco Bell x Disha Hot Kit, which includes a signed vinyl insert of Apollo’s latest album, God Said No, along with three sauce packets and a unique bottle of Disha Hot Hot Sauce. This exclusive offer is limited to the first 500 members through the Taco Bell app.
Sauce has always had the power to personalize and elevate fast food, and Taco Bell is leading the charge. Other brands have also embraced this trend, introducing limited-time condiments. McDonald’s, for example, unveiled its Special Grade Garlic Sauce, inspired by its Japanese counterpart, and launched in collaboration with the anime Jujutsu Kaisen. KFC has reintroduced its zesty Comeback Sauce alongside its new KFC Tenders, while Buffalo Wild Wings has brought out a fiery Golden Fire sauce, blending chiles with tangy Carolina Gold for a heat that sneaks up on you.
As sauces continue to make waves in the fast-food world, Taco Bell’s Disha Hot Hot Sauce is poised to capture hearts and taste buds alike.
