Taylor Swift can now include “box office record holder” to her resume as she is topping the box office with her concert film, "Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour.”
Taylor Swift's Concert Movie Breaks Records
Box Office Mojo revealed that the said movie grossed $92.8 million in its first weekend in the United States and Canada, making it the highest-grossing domestic concert film ever. The figure also implied that Swift outperformed the $73 million run of “Justin Bieber: Never Say Never” in 2011.
On October 11, AMC Theaters hosted a world premiere for the “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” movie at The Grove Mall in Los Angeles. Today.com reported that the “All Too Well” hitmaker showed up in a blue dress at the venue and posed with fans on the carpet before addressing the attendees later.
Surprisingly, fellow music legend Beyonce also showed up to support Taylor, who even shared a snap of her with Jay-Z’s wife on Instagram. Im so glad I’ll never know what my life would’ve been like without @beyonce‘s influence. “The way she’s taught me and every artist out here to break rules and defy industry norms. Her generosity of spirit. Her resilience and versatility. She’s been a guiding light throughout my career and the fact that she showed up tonight was like an actual fairytale,” the “Back to December” hitmaker wrote in the caption.
Approximately 2,000 people, including celebrities such as Julia Garner and Adam Sandler, were fortunate enough to get a seat inside one of the 13 cinemas at AMC. “You care so much about these shows and that made all the difference for us. It made us want to add even more shows and just keep doing the tour and I think that I just have never felt this way about anything, the way that I feel about this experience that we have had and continue to have. So, I am so proud,” Taylor told the attendees.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Partied Together In NYC
Meanwhile, on Saturday, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce made their first public appearance together in New York City. The rumored couple brought the PDA with their new romance with snaps of Travis holding Taylor’s hand while she exited the vehicle. They then walked hand-in-hand inside the venue.
An eyewitness told Entertainment Tonight that Taylor and Travis arrived at the celebration around 2:20 a.m. "Taylor and Travis seemed to really be having a great night and looked happy to be with each other. They kissed throughout the evening,” the tipster added.
Another informant told the entertainment news outlet that Taylor and Travis were comfortable together as they partied. "Taylor and Travis looked very comfortable and happy together. They were kissing openly and weren’t shy with their PDA. When Taylor first arrived, she spent time with Ice Spice and Ice Spice’s friends," it claimed.
For starters, Taylor and Travis have sparked dating rumors since last month when the “Blank Space” singer attended the Kansas City Chiefs game against the Chicago Bears. Taylor attended more games and has been gushed about by the Super Bowl champion. Neither of the two has confirmed or denied anything as of this writing.
