‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 10’s episode 23, titled "The Gyroscopic Collapse," will follow Leonard and his friends as they celebrate the completion of his top secret project with Sheldon and Howard. Meanwhile, Sheldon and Amy may have some relationship struggles after Amy is offered a new job.
The synopsis for “The Gyroscopic Collapse” posted on TV Muse reads, “After Leonard (Johnny Galecki), Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Wolowitz (Simon Helberg) celebrate the completion of the top secret air force project, they are met with an unpleasant surprise. Also, Amy (Mayim Bialik) is offered a summer position as a visiting researcher.”
The penultimate episode for the season is set to feature Leonard, Sheldon, and Wolowitz following the completion of their top secret project. The promo opens to the gang holding a small celebration of their success. When Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) asks the guys what happens next, Howard jokes, “We see the movie based on our lives starring more attractive versions of us.”
In the next scene, the boys find their laboratory completely empty to which Sheldon voices out his concern. Howard jokes again saying, “The movie did just get good.”
According to Cartermatt, the upcoming episode may also usher in big changes for Sheldon’s relationship with his girlfriend, Amy, as she is offered a new job. It is presumed that Amy’s new summer position as a visiting researcher will force the two to separate for a while.
Although the offer would be a good opportunity for Amy to push her career forward, Sheldon may not be so keen on it considering that he isn’t very good with major life changes especially when it primarily affects him.
‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 10’s episode 23, titled "The Gyroscopic Collapse," is scheduled to air on May 4, 2017 on CBS. It was directed by Anthony Rich with a story by Chuck Lorre, Steve Holland, and Alex Ayers and a teleplay by Steven Molaro, Jim Reynolds, and Saladin K. Patterson.
It will be followed by episode 24, titled "The Long Distance Dissonance,” directed by Mark Cendrowski and scheduled to be released on May 11.
