A lot of gamers are currently waiting for the release of “The Last of Us 2” and for good reason. As the follow-up to the critically-acclaimed survival game, the story of Ellie and Joel will continue. Based on what the game’s music composer recently teased, the title might be coming out this year. This would certainly be great news to the fans of the game.
As WCCFTECH reports, the legendary composer who worked on “The Last of Us 2,” Gustavo Santaolalla recently teased the title’s release date. While he didn’t get into specifics, he did say that it would be hitting the market “very soon.” Of course, this can be interpreted in a lot of different ways. It could mean a few weeks or a few months.
Right now, what most fans are really hoping for is for the title to be released this year. With the PS4 coming to the end of its life, it only makes sense that it should. Otherwise, there could be an issue when the PS5 is announced, thus splitting the players who will buy “The Last of Us 2.” It’s practically guaranteed that it will be on the next generation console, after all.
With what Santaolalla said, the possibility of a 2019 release date doesn’t seem so far-fetched anymore. The game was announced a while ago and the even the gameplay was showcased during last year’s E3. With this being the case, it might just be that “The Last of Us 2” is close to going gold.
Once it does, it will only be a matter of weeks before it hits the market. It’s safe to say that when “The Last of Us 2” does become available for purchase, it will be another glorious day for Naughty Dog. It might even hold some more surprises than what has been revealed so far.
