“The Last of Us Part 2” is one of the rumored games to be released in 2019. Up to this point, there is no hard proof to support this speculation, but a supposed information leak might change that. The game is now believed to go live in October.
The latest “The Last of Us Part 2” leak came from the gaming retailer LAWGAMERS based in Peru. The company reportedly released what is deemed to be a teaser poster for the upcoming game.
The image is mostly occupied by Ellie’s face, which makes sense because she is going to be the sequel’s main protagonist and main playable character. At the lower left part of the photo, fans can see the poster suggesting “The Last of Us Part 2” will be out by October 2019.
Meanwhile, it is important to note that these kinds of incidents are not new in the gaming industry. The biggest upcoming games, like “The Last of Us Part 2,” are always subjected to release date rumors and so-called leaks, but not all of it represents the accurate information. Fans are advised to take this poster with a pinch of salt.
However, Games Radar also pointed out that a fall 2019 release date for “The Last of Us Part 2” is not such a wild suggestion. The same report argued that Sony has yet to have a PlayStation-exclusive AAA title for the last quarter of the year to keep its fanbase excited. It has also been almost six years since the first game was released and three years since the sequel was announced. That could be enough time for Naughty Dog to, at least, come up with a release date window by fall if the game’s full version is not ready yet.
As mentioned, “The Last of Us Part 2” will feature Ellie as the main protagonist. There have been several teasers and a few gameplay previews showing Ellie grew up and became one vengeful character. However, fans are still uncertain about Joel’s presence in the game.
