The good news for fans of the thriller series is that “The Promised Neverland” season 2 has already been confirmed. So anime-only followers are likely wondering when they can at least see an all-new promo video.
As discussed in earlier reports, the safest estimation of “The Promised Neverland” season 2’s release date is in early 2020. This is considering that the first season premiered last January and concluded in late March. Since the series is fairly young, it means it will not have any trouble about having enough manga source materials. So the work for the second season has likely commenced soon after its production was announced.
However, it is still quite hard to predict when producers will release a new trailer of “The Promised Neverland” season 2. It could happen anytime or, more practically, in one of the upcoming major anime conventions this year. It could be as early as during the Anime Expo in early July or as late as December at the annual Jump Festa in Tokyo.
To very eager fans, they can catch up on the manga series to pass the time while waiting for any news on “The Promised Neverland” season 2. The first season that had 12 episodes in total covered 37 chapters all in all. It ended with Emma, Ray, and 13 of their siblings successfully escaping the Grace Field House — an orphanage that is actually a human farm that grows children to be fed onto actual demons.
The first episode of “The Promised Neverland” season 2 will likely pick up from the morning after Emma and Ray’s successful escape. Isabella, the head of the farm and the mother figure to the orphans, will take full responsibility to what happened while the demons will quickly get on with locating the children that got away. They will not give up easily on Emma’s group because, as the demons call them, they are “premium goods.”
