Season 7 of “The Walking Dead” is set to continue in the next two weeks, and fans of the show are eager to know how Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and the others escape from the terrifying clutches of Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and his Saviors.
But one question that’s always lingering in people’s minds is: Is the show setting them up for another major death, or worse, more deaths?
Norman Reedus, who plays Daryl Dixon in the series, recently shared his feelings about filming the show’s seventh season, Express UK reported. In the first half of Season 7, fans witness him and his group as Negan’s prisoner. Reedus told the news site that although it wasn’t fun shooting scenes at The Sanctuary (where his character is separated from everyone else), he thought it was worth it in the long run.
He explained, “I mean, I understand when characters go through certain things, and mostly they’re cut off from the rest of the group, but I didn’t see anybody.”
He didn’t leak any more details about the second half of the season, but an extended preview revealed that Rick is intending to gang up with at least one other leader, Ezekiel (Khary Payton). But if there’s one character who’s definitely safe from a character kill-off, it would be Daryl to exact revenge against Negan.
"He wants revenge. He's ready to fight. When he goes back in that last episode and hands Rick back his stuff, it was like, 'Let's go! Let's go beat this guy up. Let's go take what's ours and fight this monster.' So, you know, he's in kill mode," he added.
