President Donald Trump has revoked former President Joe Biden’s security clearance, ending his access to classified intelligence briefings. Trump justified the decision by pointing to Biden’s 2021 directive that barred him from receiving national security updates, a courtesy usually extended to former presidents.
In a statement, Trump highlighted the precedent set by Biden and emphasized concerns over his mental acuity, referencing the Hur Report, which described Biden’s memory as unreliable. Trump argued that safeguarding national security requires restricting access to sensitive information from those deemed unfit.
Concluding his remarks, Trump reiterated his commitment to protecting the nation and took a direct jab at Biden, declaring, “JOE, YOU’RE FIRED. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
The move has sparked debates about the implications of revoking intelligence access for sitting presidents and how it may impact future administrations.
