Retired Neuro-Surgeon, Ben Carson has indicated that his campaign might be coming to an end, with him just grabbing 8 delegates so far, compared to 319 grabbed by front runner Donald Trump. We expect Mr. Carson to bid farewell to the race on Friday, while he speaks in Washington on Friday.
We expect John Kasich to follow suit as the math is quite clear. To become the republican nominee, he will have to won 68.3% of rest 1777 delegates, which doesn't seem feasible at all, for the moment given the momentum behind Donald Trump, Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio.
Nevertheless we expect Mr. Kasich to continue at least till March 15th, when his home state Ohio, where he has been reelected as Governor in 2014, goes to vote. On that day, Republican presidential aspirants will be fighting hard for 66 delegates of Ohio, along with 292 other delegates available from Florida, Illinois, Missouri and North Carolina. Even if he knows he is out of the race it is a testing ground for him to feel approvals in his own state.
A clever political move would be to give up his candidacy and ask his supporters to back the candidate he likes but that doesn't look very likely at the moment.
