One of the first announcements Ubisoft made this year was that its subscription service Ubisoft+ would be available on Xbox consoles. The publisher has yet to specify when that will happen, but there is a recent indication that its launch may be taking place soon.
The latest indication that Ubisoft+ is coming soon on Xbox may have been uncovered by the Twitter page Aggiornamenti Lumia (@ALumina_Italia). The page shared an image of the Ubisoft+ logo without any context. But it is popular for scraping data from the Xbox and Microsoft online store backend that often lets fans know about upcoming products and video games on PC and Xbox.

Despite the lack of other information, the post was immediately interpreted as an indication that Ubisoft+ might soon be available on Xbox. Ubisoft announced the service’s launch on Microsoft’s consoles last January, but no specific release date has been provided.
It also coincided with the announcement that the then-unreleased “Rainbow Six Extraction” was coming to Xbox Game Pass on day one. “Ultimately, we will offer the Ubisoft+ subscription service to Xbox owners so that they can enjoy the full extent of our Ubisoft+ game library, including new releases, on their consoles,” Ubisoft senior vice president Chris Early said in a statement in January.
The subscription service was originally launched as Uplay+ and can only be accessed on PC. But it has since launched on Google Stadia and is currently available for $17.99 / £14.99 / €17.99 per month.
For that subscription fee, Ubisoft+ offers access to more than 100 games from Ubisoft studios. Members also get a 10 percent discount for in-game purchases, which can be an enticing offer for avid fans of Ubisoft franchises like “Assassin’s Creed.”
Ubisoft also announced in May that its subscription service would be available on PlayStation. This will be different from the inclusion of Ubisoft+ Classics on the PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium services. The latter offered popular titles like “Assassin’s Creed Valhalla,” “For Honor,” “Far Cry” installments, and “Watch Dogs” when the all-new PS Plus launched, and the publisher confirmed it would have a total of 50 titles by the end of 2022.
