Uniqlo has set up an impressive, playable arcade game to mark the launch of its new line of Capcom T-shirts. The giant machine is a tribute to the 40th anniversary of the renowned video game developer.
A Unique Gaming Experience
According to Soranews 24, gamers can play this massive arcade game at Uniqlo's Harajuku store in Tokyo. The interactive cabinet is not merely a display but a playable video game hardware.
Dive into the Adventure
Uniqlo introduces its video game, UT Adventure, featuring iconic characters from Capcom's renowned games. Players embark on a side-scrolling shooter journey to reclaim stolen T-shirts, encountering beloved Capcom characters during an alien invasion.
Siliconera noted that the Capcom-themed T-shirts pay homage to the gaming giant's extensive history. The collection showcases a range of iconic characters, from classics like Ghosts 'n Goblins to popular titles such as Mega Man and Resident Evil.
Interested individuals can experience the giant game machine at the Uniqlo Harajuku branch from March 26 onwards. The arcade game will be operational on weekdays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on weekends from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
A Collector's Dream
In addition to the immersive gameplay and fashionable apparel, Uniqlo plans to release a limited edition series of collectible items exclusively available at the Harajuku store. These items, ranging from keychains featuring Capcom characters to exclusive art prints, are designed to captivate fans and collectors alike. Each purchase of a Capcom-themed T-shirt will grant customers a chance to win these rare collectibles, adding an element of excitement to the shopping experience.
The Capcom-inspired T-shirts, priced at 1,990 yen (US$13.35) each, will be available on the Uniqlo website starting March 26. The giant arcade game will be displayed at the store until March 21 for enthusiasts to enjoy.
