But before than, let us have a review on the last episode yet.

Episode three titled '"Mercy" has something to do with the monk Athelstan. He was missing in a few of the episodes and this week he was back on screen but not the way we wanted it to be.

We see the return of Athelstan, who appears to both King Ecbert and King Ragnar as a vision. To the former, he offers no words—only knowledge that the monk has shuffled off this mortal coil. To the latter, he offers up the title of the episode itself: “Mercy.”

The mercy that Athelstan asks from him is for Ragnar to not go through with killing Floki.Ragnar cut him down, though fans are  wonderng what this means for the future. Will Floki want his own revenge knowing that he was taken and tortured while his wife froze and his daughter died.
Kalf and Lagertha on the other hand, are busy making love. But regardless of how Kalf professes his love to Lagertha, he still is being shady and is still planning on killing Lagertha's Bjorn who is  living alone in the snow-covered woods of Norway.

And that plan consist of the Berserker but we won't be seeing him just yet. Instead, he will be in a woods with a big bear who scratched his chest's open with a powerful. But with a knife, an ax and a hangover (thanks to the booze he found), Bjorn attacks the creature that’s been stealing his food.

Meanwhile, Rollo is busy learning the language of love as he tries to make a name for himself. Fed up with the scorn visited upon him by his wife, the princess Gisla, and having few other alternatives now that he’s played the haircut card, Rollo begins learning French.
