Wendy’s Canada announced that it would be releasing the Android-based Wendy’s Phone next month. The fast-food chain will launch the device, but there will only be 20 units available and will be exclusively awarded to the lucky winners of a contest.
Wendy’s Canada recently launched its Twitter contest, and it will be giving away the new customized Wendy’s phones as prizes. The contest will run starting this week until Oct. 17.
The mobile device is said to be equipped with an advanced digital assistant that will answer all questions related to Wendy’s and its products. Wendy herself will be answering the queries as per the released details.
The phone is running on the Android operating system and will feature Wendy’s official color and logo. With this exclusive device, the restaurant has become the very first Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) to have its own mobile phone.

It was added that the lucky owner of Wendy’s phone will just have to say “Hey, Wendy,” and the device can help set an alarm, provide directions and Wendy can even be so witty that she can tell a joke.
Moreover, since taking photos of foods is the trend these days, it was said that the Wendy’s phone is perfect for this function. It comes complete with front and rear cameras that can capture high-quality photos of Wendy’s Baconators and other food items. What’s more, users can also order Wendy to play a video while dining and there is no additional subscription required.
“We’ve developed the Wendy’s phone for our Canadian fans, and it supplements our new and improved mobile app, which now allows for mobile payment and exclusive offers for the freshest food in town,” Wendy’s Canada’s senior director of marketing, Lisa Deletroz, said in a press release. “Canadians can win their very own Wendy’s phone for a limited time, ensuring they watch their favorite shows, listen to their beloved playlists and order a Frosty and the very best burgers made with 100% Canadian fresh never frozen beef* with the hottest device on the market. All they need is Wendy’s app.”
To get the chance to be one of the 20 winners of the new Wendy’s phone, here are the official rules and regulations to follow. It should be noted that all participants must also download the Wendy’s app to join.
