“Westworld” Season 3 is highly anticipated by the show’s following as the sci-fi series is set to embark on unchartered territories. The previous installment saw that the hosts have now broken free of the park and stepped into the real world.
To make matters worse, they’re expected to release more of their kin in “Westworld” Season 3, which may herald a war between humanity and artificial intelligence. Of course, that plot is a long way off as showrunners Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy are focusing on the journey of the hosts and the other titular parks that have yet to be explored.
And speaking of the showrunners, the husband-wife duo has been successfully grabbed by Amazon to produce more series for its streaming platform. The contract has been set for five years with the number offered to the creators speculated to land somewhere in “low-to-mid-nine-figures,” Vanity Fair reported. So what does this mean for “Westworld” Season 3 and the show moving forward?
Well, it’s being reported that their new partnership with Amazon will not have any effect on their roles as lead showrunners for the sci-fi series, so there’s no cause for concern. For now, at least. As for what Amazon is planning, it appears that they want to develop a series that would rival the popularity of “Game of Thrones.” It goes without saying that this endeavor is quite the mountain to climb, especially since “Westworld” Season 3 is being considered as the new series to take that mantle.
Indeed, speculations are being thrown on the web that the show will be returning on April 2020, the month in which HBO typically airs the premiere of the high-fantasy saga. Of course, it still comes down to the viewers who will rightfully inherit the next big thing on television. But with “Westworld” Season 3 expected to make huge waves upon its release, the sci-fi series is among the frontrunners expected to snatch the title. With all these large networks and streaming services vying for the number one spot, it’s the audiences who will ultimately win in the end as the golden age of television takes on new heights.
