“Westworld” season 3 is coming soon but fans may see a lot of changes when it returns. For one, the hosts are finally out of the Westworld park after escaping from its borders plus, Dolores and Bernard are not on friendly terms now and in fact, it was suggested that the two will be enemies in the upcoming new installment.
So, how will “Westworld” season 3 moved on from the time after Dolores and Bernard’s escape to the real world? What will happen to them as they try to find their way in the new world? These are just some of the pressing questions after season 2 concluded in June.
Luckily, while “Westworld” season 3 is still on the work table, its showrunners, Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, are open enough to share a few major details about the new installment. In particular, the real-life husband and wife who are also the proud creators of the sci-fi drama revealed that the show is taking a different route and it will be heading to something that the viewers have never seen before.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Nolan said, “I think it's a radical shift. What's compelling and appealing about these characters is that they're not human. As we said in the show, humans are bound by the same loops the hosts are, in some ways even smaller”
He went on to explain, “You couldn't expect human characters to withstand and survive the kind of story that we're telling. The hosts have a different version of mortality, a different outlook.”
The showrunner further relayed to the publication that the possibilities for “Westworld” season 3 are endless especially now that Dolores is out of the Westworld park and she has a bigger set of goals now and different views as well. Nolan admitted that this turn of events is fascinating so they are excited to come up with the next storylines.
Meanwhile, there have been reports that the producers of “Westworld” season 3 are talking to Antonio Banderas for possible casting in the drama. It was said that if the “Zorro” actor will agree to sign up for a role in “Westworld,” he would be assigned a role of a villain. Then again, his addition as a regular cast member has yet to be confirmed by the production team.
