At the moment many goods have an ingredient list that is brief and to the point. We place a high value on buying nutritious food. Therefore, going shopping at a store that promotes this is beneficial to us.
#1 - Their prices are always cheap (without coupons)
You know you're getting the greatest deal when shopping at Aldi weekly ad because of the guaranteed lowest prices. Also, this pricing doesn't need the use of coupons. Yay!
While Aldi does not offer all of the items on our shopping list, it is where we shop for the vast majority of them. As a result of Aldi's cheap pricing, we've been able to stretch our food budget by $100-200 each month.
#2 – The vast majority of the items are store-brand.
Nearly every product is sold under a private label at Aldi weekly ads, which saves you money. There are just a few different brands of peanut butter to select from, rather than a dizzying array.
This might be a drawback if the store brand is subpar, but Aldi goes to great lengths to ensure high-quality goods. Whether it's yogurt, deli meat, peanut butter, or anything else, our family chooses Aldi's brand over name brands.
Aldi's retail brands include the following:
-
Products produced using "genuine" components from the SimplyNature natural or organic line
-
Aldi's gluten-free product range that is called liveGfree.
-
The NeverAny brand offers hormone- and antibiotic-free meats.
-
Products for babies (we like their diapers and pre-made fruit and vegetable pouches!) from Little Journey
#3 You'll be in and out in under 30 minutes
With less than 53 choices for each item on the shelf, you can make a selection with less of the typical analytical paralysis.
Additionally, it allows Aldi to stock an incredible number of items in a small area. Walmart and Costco have warehouses that are several hundred thousand square feet larger than the typical Aldi's.
#4 There are organic choices with superior ingredients at Aldi
Even though we've only been doing our grocery shopping at Aldi for a few years, the selection of organic products has increased dramatically.
Many of their salad greens and other food are organically grown, and their Simply Nature line of pantry staples is free of GMOs and organically grown. For example, we love corn syrup and hydrogenated oil-free almond butter.
For this reason, Aldi has prohibited or severely restricted the use of many pesticides, hormones, and other artificial chemicals in all of its goods.
Instead of ranting about European vs. American food quality, I'll just remark that it's encouraging to see a firm prioritize ingredient quality. (Aldi's origins are in Europe, by the way.)
#5 "Aldi Finds" is a great place to look for bargains.
There's an aisle in the center of the shop devoted to "Aldi Finds" — a collection of oddball items at rock-bottom rates. Decorative baskets, kitchenware, deck chairs, and Easter candy are all possibilities in these baskets.
While it isn't a must, the Aldi shopping experience would be incomplete without it (especially for the kids). Along with a blow-up bed, shoes, and clothing for the kids, and even bags of soil for the garden, I scored some incredible bargains at yard sales!
