ARLINGTON, Va., Nov. 16, 2017 -- Willis Towers Watson (NASDAQ:WLTW), a leading global advisory, broking and solutions company, today announced that it has renamed its Exchange Solutions business as Benefits Delivery and Administration (BDA). The company also said that it has introduced Via Benefits™, a new consumer-facing brand name for some of the solutions within BDA, previously captured under OneExchange® and Acclaris.
“Our benefits delivery and administration solutions have continually evolved to address the challenges that employers face within the ever-changing benefit landscape,” said Gene Wickes, head of Benefits Delivery and Administration, Willis Towers Watson. “This new segment name and brand better reflect our current product suite and strategy, and we believe they more accurately capture the spirit and reality of our vision, how clients think about their benefit strategies and how we currently bring our solutions to market. Our mission is to help our clients unlock the value of their benefit programs with strategies and solutions that empower people to maximize the value of their benefit dollars in this evolving market space.”
The BDA segment combines the company’s leading administration, benefit accounts and marketplace (often called exchange) offerings for North American employers and plan sponsors. The company delivers a range of integrated benefits delivery solutions designed to meet employers’ unique needs wherever they are in their benefit strategy life cycle.
The Via Benefits name signifies a journey toward finding a personalized portfolio of insurance coverages to meet the diverse needs of participants.
“We remain wholly committed to delivering unsurpassed benefit marketplace, accounts and administrative outsourcing solutions, and are optimistic about their long-term growth,” said Wickes. “Over the last four years, we’ve advanced the capabilities and flexibility of our solutions, and our segment revenues have more than doubled — a strong indicator that clients see the value, quality and innovation we bring to the market.”
While new segment and brand names have been adopted, the names of the legal entities that comprise the BDA segment and deliver the BDA solutions have not changed.
