Samsung fans in the United Kingdom who are thinking of getting one of a new Galaxy smartphone may have another reason to make a purchase soon. The country’s known network service provider, EE, has unveiled a new offer that bundles certain devices with free 12-month access to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
How to get free Xbox Game Pass Ultimate with Samsung phones via EE
Five Samsung Galaxy smartphones are currently offered with the 12 months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, including Galaxy S21 5G, Galaxy S21+ 5G, Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G, Galaxy A52 5G, and Galaxy S20 FE 5G. The complimentary subscription translates to a £131.88 saving as the monthly plan costs £10.99.
The mentioned devices would have to be purchased through a phone contract with EE, which constitutes a 24-month payment plan. EE also notes that the promo is available through “any plan with Smart Benefits ... before May 13.” Instructions to redeem the free Xbox Game Pass Ultimate access will be texted to the subscriber within 14 days after the purchase, and they will then have “12 months to claim” it.
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate: Important details new subscribers need to know
Microsoft’s subscription-based gaming service is offered in different tiers, with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate being the highest priced and having the most perks. It lets subscribers play more than 100 video games on Windows PC, Xbox consoles, and compatible Android devices via Xbox Cloud gaming.
It also provides access to the EA Play library and Xbox Live Gold deals without additional cost. While Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is available in more than 40 countries, the Xbox Cloud service is only accessible in 22 territories, including the UK.
Microsoft has been praised for adding a significant lineup of AAA games to the Xbox Game Pass this year, including 20 titles developed by Bethesda. Highly anticipated third-party games, such as “Outriders” and “MLB The Show 21,” were also added to the catalog on their launch dates earlier this month.
Meanwhile, “Halo Infinite” is the biggest first-party video game expected to launch on Xbox Game Pass in 2021. There are also speculations that Microsoft could be working on getting “Battlefield 6” to the Game Pass upon its launch, but this has yet to be confirmed.
