Sales of zero-calorie drinks in South Korea are on the rise as more younger people become more health-conscious.
Convenience store chain CU reported over a 15-fold sales increase of zero-calorie beverages this year compared to 2019 and up by 112.5 percent from last year.
Over 60 percent of the buyers in the last three years are in their 20s and 30s.
GS25 reported an almost sevenfold surge in sales of zero-calorie drinks this year compared to 2019 and increasing by 71.1 percent from last year.
Meanwhile, 7-Eleven’s zero-calorie drink sales jumped by ninefold this year compared to 2019, and up by 45 percent from last year.
