My research centers on family demography, gender, and health. I focus on vulnerability and resilience among individuals with limited access to family resources due to e.g. material deprivation at the household level, inequities in distribution of resources between family members. Within this framework, my work falls into three streams: nutrition, health, and access to food; siblings and well-being across the lifecourse; and inequities in maternal, child, and reproductive health.
