I did my dissertation at the University of Montana on the effects of wood smoke exposure on asthmatic children and the impacts of air filtration interventions. Then I did a postdoc at the University of Michigan to better understand the molecular basis of exposure-induced disease. I now am building a research program to study the long-term health impacts of being a wildland firefighter.
