Ross is a Scientia Professor in Law at the University of New South Wales.
His work focuses on ways to improve the regulation of FinTech and the algorithmic analysis of data more broadly. He has a particular current focus on cryptocurrencies and central bank digital currencies. He has consulted to government departments and agencies in over a dozen countries, including two in the US, and to a range of banks.
He has been twice a Fulbright Scholar, but much more frequently a halfbright scholar.
