Lisa French is the Dean of RMIT's School of Media and Communication and Professor in Screen and Media. She is the co-author of the books 'Shining a Light: 50 Years of the Australian Film Institute' (2009 & 2014) and 'Womenvision: Women and the Moving Image in Australia' (2003).
Lisa’s PhD and MA research were both centrally interested in gender and Australian film, and she has published widely in these fields in local and international journals.
She is Co-chair of the UNESCO UniTWIN on Gender, Media and ICTS (http://www.unitwin.net) and a member of the Screen Australia Gender Matters Taskforce.
