I have a BSc (Hons) and PhD from the University of WA. I majored in human physiology and my PhD involved understanding the muscle physiology and defects in animal models of floppy-baby syndrome (nemaline myopathy). I am a current NHMRC ECF and work with Prof Nigel Laing on neuromuscular diseases, in particular identifying the genetic defects underlying severe congenital myopathies and understanding their disease mechanisms.
