Adidas confirmed it signed a partnership deal with Korn, the American metal band from Bakersfield, California. This is the first time that they are collaborating despite the fact that fans have been clamoring for it for years.
Korn also released the “A.D.I.D.A.S.” song in 1996, and the band members wore the famous Adidas-branded tracksuits throughout the 1990s but this is the only time that the band and sports clothing maker are officially teaming up for a new line of apparel and sneakers.
Accidental Early Reveal of the Team-up
Some fans have already heard about the collaboration between Korn and Adidas. However, there has been no confirmation until now. This happened after leaked documents started to spread in June this year.
Consequence Heavy reported that the papers suggested that a partnership is finally going to happen, and at that time, pictures of the supposed new sneaker designs were also spreading. Fans were excited since they had been expressing their wish for the team since the '90s.
The Release Date, Price, and Product List
Adidas and Korn are now preparing for the official release of their first collection. It was announced that the collaborative apparel and sneaker items are set to drop in the market on Oct. 27, as per Complex.
The Korn x Adidas Collection will include two shirts and a hoodie with the Korn logo. The shirts will be sold for $50 to $60, while the hoodie is priced at $120.
Fans may also buy tracksuits that will come in two designs, and each set is sold separately. The pants cost $120, and the top is $180 for the sequined hoodie. For the regular one, the top and pants are priced at $100 and $80, respectively.
Finally, Adidas said in a press release, “This October, Adidas Originals and KoRn join forces to celebrate a trailblazing legacy with a new collaborative partnership and collection. With an enduring and potent, cultural impact that extends far beyond music, KoRn has continued to influence styles and scenes across the globe.”
