Adidas and Waffle House have teamed up to produce unique golf shoes. The two are said to be collaborating to come up with footwear in celebration of the 2022 Masters Tournament that will take place from April 7 to 10 at the Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia.
Waffle House is also headquartered in Georgia, so the new Adidas Waffle House-inspired golf shoes are more meaningful. The footwear manufacturing giant has thought of a fun design to represent both the Masters Tournament and the popular breakfast restaurant chain, and the outcome is a pair of shoes that one should have.
The Adidas x Waffle House golf shoes have been aptly named the “Tour360 22,” and it features an off-white hue and leather with an embossed pattern that resembles waffles. The color is also the shade of the waffle batter, and the shoes’ heel has Waffle House’s signature yellow emblem. What’s more, to complete the “waffle look,” if the shoe is turned over, it looks like maple syrup is spilling down the sole.
According to Golf Digest, the Tour360 22 Adidas x Waffle House golf shoes truly honor the 2022 Masters, and due to the traditions related to the first championship tournament of the year, the breakfast house is truly a fitting partner for Adidas to make this special edition footwear.
Waffle House was established in 1955, and since then, its franchise has developed into a 24-hour dining place with more than 1,900 restaurants today, across the U.S. To pay homage to the extraordinary Southern eating experience in time for the Masters week, Adidas created the Tour360 22.
“We love this time of year because more than anything else it’s an unofficial start to the golf season for everyone,” Adidas Golf global footwear director, Masun Denison, said in a blog post. “Waffle House is such a well-known restaurant in Georgia and throughout the U.S., we knew it would be fun to partner with their team on a design that brings a piece of the famous restaurant to everyone, all in our flagship silhouette.”
Meanwhile, the new Adidas Tour360 22 will be released in limited numbers, and Adidas will start taking pre-orders starting Thursday, April 7. Fans can head to adidas.com, select US-based retailers, and the Adidas app to place their orders.
