Amazon’s Dash Button is basically a device that allows customers to shop for items from the merchant giant without ever having to sign in or go to the site itself. It’s a revolutionary feature that makes online shopping incredibly simple and convenient; two things that have always rung sweet for shoppers aside from discounts. Now, Amazon is actually paying customers every time they buy the Dash Button devices, making an already attractive prospect even more appealing.
Every Dash Button represents a particular item that shoppers can buy literally at a push of a button, Top Tech News reports. In order to find out just how good the devices are, the publication actually bought several Dash Button units and tried them out.
It turns out that the convenience aspect of the products only go as far as the ordering since it can still come with the same issues plaguing normal Amazon purchases. Sometimes the orders would arrive on time. Other times, it wouldn’t.
Setting up one Dash Button is relatively straightforward as well, though not without some of the common encumbrances that modern connected devices are known for. Users will need to connect the Dash Button to the Amazon app that customers can install on any smart device they may have, for a start.
After that, it’s just a matter of connecting it to the Wi-Fi, setting the product and quantity, and then saving the settings. From there, users can hit the button and the order will be on its way. It’s worth noting that customers have half a day to cancel their orders if they want to.
Each Dash Button normally costs $4.99, USA Today reports, but that price can go down to $0.99 when using the corresponding promo code. What’s more, each purchase will net customers $4 in credit, essentially paying buyers for ordering the product.
