Apple Inc. launched a new sports app for users in the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada. The tech firm is targeting sports enthusiasts for its latest application.
Apple said this new sports app will allow users to track their favorite teams and leagues. They can get updates, team stats, player details, and live betting odds. The best part about this offering is that it is free.
More Benefits to Enjoy
As per Fox Business, the application will provide users with team scores in real-time. Other data about the playing teams and various leagues can also be received through the app, which the company simply called "Apple Sports."
Moreover, users will be able to navigate through scores and upcoming games. Apple said the betting odds within the app will display the money line, total, and the spread for any match-up. It is a complete sports app where play-by-play information will also be readily available.
Leagues Currently in Season
Apple's free sports app was rolled out just before the Major League Soccer 2024 season kick-off. It will start today and will be viewable through Apple TV+.
Silicon Valley Daily reported that Apple's new application was designed for speed and simplicity. It can personalize users' experience since they can shift through the teams and mark their favorite teams and leagues. The interface is user-friendly; thus, even people not used to the latest technology can easily use it.
In any case, Apple Sports will keep fans updated about these leagues in season: MLS, NBA, NCAA basketball (men's and women's), NHL, Bundesliga, LaLiga, Liga MX, Ligue 1, Premier League and Serie A. Later, Apple will add these leagues to the app: MLB, NFL, NCAAF, NWSL, and the WNBA to cover their upcoming seasons.
"We created Apple Sports to give sports fans what they want an app that delivers incredibly fast access to scores and stats," Apple's senior vice president of services, Eddy Cue, said in a press release. "Apple Sports is available for free in the App Store, and makes it easy for users to stay up to date with their favorite teams and leagues."
