KARLSRUHE, Germany, July 31, 2017 -- K2L GmbH & Co. KG, today announced that automotive Ethernet tool support is now available. The new OptoLyzer MOCCA LAN, with corresponding support offered from OptoLyzer Studio, will simplify the analysis of Ethernet in a vehicle along with other traditional networks. The offering, which was showcased at the Automotive Testing Expo in Stuttgart and ConCarExpo in Berlin 2017, is a combination of a development hardware tool with a software suite.

The K2L solution supports the development of all well-known automotive bus systems including Ethernet. OptoLyzer Studio already supports CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, FlexRay and MOST® technology. The support of these different networks is achieved by a synchronization mechanism in the hardware interface products. Hardware interfaces can be connected with a synch cable.
“Ethernet is likely to become the backbone technology in future car architectures,” said Matthias Karcher, senior manager at K2L. “With the combination of all common network technologies, the customer is now able to solve all design tasks with our comprehensive hardware and software tools. Our goal was to provide our customers with a single, easy-to-use solution to help capture and analyze different kinds of network traffic. We have met this goal.”
This new offering is ideal for customers in both the automotive and industrial markets. It is designed to be fast and easy to use to eliminate steep learning curves for new users. The hardware aspect allows fast connection to the Ethernet network and is combined with software that allows intuitive analysis.
