‘Black Clover’ Episode 54 Release Date, Plot, Characters: How Devastating Is Asta’s Injury? Is There a Cure?

“Black Clover” Episode 54 will not feature a lot of heavy fighting as the conflict between the Clover Kingdom and the Diamond Kingdom has now concluded. The Diamond forces have been successfully repelled by the protagonists, with William Vangeance taking the spotlight throughout the whole skirmish.

Vangeance’s sorcery, called World Tree Magic, proved too much for the invading forces, which is a pivotal event that led to the victory of the Clover faction. Elated with triumph, the Black Bulls will celebrate in “Black Clover” Episode 54. However, a cloud will hang over the celebrants’ heads as they learn a devastating news regarding Asta, OtakuKart reported.

After the Kiten invasion failed, Yami will take Asta to one of the kingdom’s best healing mages in order to start the recovery of the character’s arm. Named Owen, this healer is one of the most renowned mages in the faction’s fold because of his ability to see through people's anatomy. As such, he’s able to accurately channel mana to a person’s injured body part, an ability which will be featured in “Black Clover” Episode 54.

But as talented as Owen is, the healing mage will reveal that even he isn’t capable of healing Asta’s arm. It can be recalled that Asta sustained his injury after receiving a spell that connected to his arm during the Kiten Invasion arc. Now, this injury proved to be far more severe than everyone thought as Owen reveals that Asta will not be able to use his arm let alone swing a sword. Asta will then try to hide this fact in “Black Clover” Episode 54 as he doesn’t want his comrades worrying over him.

However, his secret will be revealed to the squad all the same as Finral overheard Owen’s prognosis regarding Asta’s injury. While Asta’s situation seems bleak, Vanessa will provide hope for the protagonist as she might know of a location where a cure for his injury can be found. As such, “Black Clover” Episode 54 will set the stage for the next arc, which will center on obtaining an antidote that will ultimately restore Asta’s arm. The next episode, titled “Never Again,” will air a few hours from now.
