‘Bones’ is set to premiere its season 11, episode 18 on June 2, 2016. The episode, entitled “Movie In the Making”, will follow the Jeffersonian team as they solve a new case in front of a documentary crew. It promises to show a more light-hearted and funnier side to each of its characters.

Episode 18 will focus on the Jeffersonian team as a documentary crew follows them around during an investigation of a decades old corpse unearthed in a landfill.

An excerpt of the synopsis posted on Carter Matt stated, “The camera captures normally unseen footage of the team at work, while candid commentary by each of the team members provides an inside look at the investigation as Booth and Aubrey show off their unique skills in the field, and Brennan and her team prove their expertise and integral importance to solving murder cases.”

The promo of the episode entitled “Movie In the Making” showed scenes of each team member making commentaries and confessionals about the case challenging them on each of their fields of expertise. It seems that Dr. Temperance “Bones” Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz) are struggling to make the case look like a “typical day at the office” with cameras around with cheesy one liners. James Aubrey (John Boyd) seems confident enough until cameras catch him in awkward lunch breaks.

According to another article on Celebrity Dirty Laundry, the upcoming episode has been tagged as one of the lighter and funnier episodes that shows the quirky side of its characters. Pej Vahdat, who plays Arastoo Vaziri, tweeted, ““Maybe the most fun I’ve had filming an episode of Bones. It’s a must watch.”

Meanwhile, Fox moved the series’ final season to winter 2017 in a midseason push after renewing its contract for a 12th season in February. The show was originally scheduled to air on Thursdays after ‘Rosewood’ but has long been pushed to another broadcast schedule. The popular television show will finally come to an end since its premiere on Fox in September 2005.

‘Bones’ is scheduled to return to the small screen in 2017 with its 12th and final season. The television show received generally positive reviews and earned several awards and nominations since its debut including two Primetime Emmy Awards.
