One of the main attractions at Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2018 was the reveal of a more telling “Cyberpunk 2077.” Now, reports say that CD Projekt Red also hosted an exclusive event where more gameplay details of the game were announced via a live demo.
In a trailer, V’s character is male. However, the closed-door gameplay demo event reportedly revealed that players will have an option to play as a female V.
IGN shared that at the beginning of the game, players will be choosing V’s traits, including Strength, Constitution, Intelligence, Reflexes, Tech, and Cool. These are the same options in the original “Cyberpunk 2020” tabletop RPG by Mike Pondsmith.
Like most RPG titles, “Cyberpunk 2077” will feature various character classes that affect how the protagonist will react to missions and challenges.
However, what’s unique in this game is that these classes do not have to be selected before the game even starts. The same IGN report said that V’s progress will play a huge role in how players will develop their preferred character class for V.
Players will definitely have an idea of how chaotic Night City is going to be based on the latest trailer. But the fictional California city still has a law enforcement institution, called Militech. But, just like everything else in Night City, Militech is controlled by megacorporations.
Militech is more like a private army with forces that cover the entire country. Given how corrupt Militech is, V can hire them to maintain peace and order in the city. But they can also be rented as “black ops commandos” to kill a politician that hinders a certain project. Players just need to have enough money to avail of their services.
According to reports, developers also teased about some of the weapons and vehicles that can be used in the game. Vehicles are good for exploring the city and also for attacking enemies whether they are alone or an entire group.
In the latest “Cyberpunk 2077” trailer, CD Projekt Red reiterated that the game will have post-launch content that can be accessed for free. The developer also implied they will start accepting pre-orders only once they feel like they have already finished enough content that will give players a proper overview of the gameplay.
“Cyberpunk 2077’s” release date is still undetermined.
