The first trailer of the highly-anticipated series “Duck Tales” has been released by Disney XD, and boy, it brings a lot of nostalgia.
Gamespot said the trailer shows a little bit of what the re-released animated series is about. Scrooge McDuck (voiced by David Tennant) is seen coming out of retirement, and like in the original show, is expected to take part in the family’s “high-flying adventures” all over the world:
“The clip slyly plays off the show's long absence, with Scrooge McDuck's great-nephews -- Huey, Dewey and Louie -- getting right in their rich uncle's face, shouting, "You used to be a big deal!" and "Whatever happened to you?" Guess what, boys? We're about to find out.”
Fans of the show will also get to see Webby Vanderquack (Kate Micucci), Launchpad (Beck Bennett), and Huey, Dewey, and Louie (Danny Pudi, Ben Schwartz and Bobby Moynihan respectively).
Danny Pudi (Community), Ben Schwartz (Parks and Rec), and Bobby Moynihan (Saturday Night Live) as Huey, Dewey, and Louie respectively. Kate Micucci (Scrubs) plays Webby Vanderquack, while Beck Bennett (Saturday Night Live) voices Launchpad.
On Thursday, the show is also confirmed by Disney XD for Season 2, of which we hope to see that the adventures wouldn’t bankrupt Uncle Scrooge.
“Duck Tales” is expected to return this summer, although the network has yet to announce a specific date. Matt Youngberg ("Ben 10: Omniverse") is the show’s executive producer, with Francisco Angones ("Wander Over Yonder") as story editor and co-producer, and Sean Jimenez ("Gravity Falls") as art director.
