Andre Iguodala is seemingly fast adjusting to the "new normal" as he described the NBA bubble environment at Disney World as no different from when he played basketball in Springfield, Illinois, while growing up.
The former Golden State Warriors' forward, who is now playing for Miami Heat, said that they will get used to the situation as most of them come from families who belong from the low to the middle-class income, and they have played in worst conditions.
The 36-year-old hoopster is already in Orlando with his Miami Heat teammates getting ready for the resumption of the 2019-2020 NBA season on July 30 at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.
NBA suspended its games last March 11 after the World Health Organization declared the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) as a pandemic.
And, with no cure or vaccine still in sight for COVID-19, leagues are resuming their games under the new normal.
Hence, the NBA will be resuming games for the current season in a "bubble" at the Disney World Resort.
Bubble because only the NBA teams and Disney staff will be staying at the Disney World Resort for the duration of the games.
According to Andre Iguodala, it is very important for the players to try and adjust to what is now the new normal. He added that all of them at the "Bubble" is certainly making the adjustment.
The NBA teams are now working on getting back into condition in preparation for the resumption of the games.
It has been about four months since the teams have had workouts together since the games were suspended back in March.
As one of the senior players of the Miami Heat, Iguodala is working just as hard as everyone else to get back into condition after four months of being off the court.
Barring any delay, the Playoffs will start on August 17, with the Finals targeted to start on September 30. Should there be a Game 7, it will be held on October 13.
As for Andre Iguodala, they will all just make the most of the moment and make sacrifices for the good of everyone in the league.
