LONDON, Nov. 28, 2017 -- FTI Consulting, Inc. (NYSE:FCN) today announced that Julia Harrison, a Senior Managing Director in the firm’s Strategic Communications segment and the Head of the firm’s Brussels office, has been named a Global Leader in Consulting for 2017 by Consulting magazine. Ms. Harrison has been recognised in the Excellence in Engagement category.
“I am not surprised that Julia has received this recognition, as her achievements are extraordinary,” said Steven H. Gunby, President and Chief Executive Officer of FTI Consulting. “Her leadership and client service on high-profile and complex regulatory and political challenges are well known by industry organisations, peers and — most important — clients. Her strength in leadership and teaming has been key to FTI Consulting growing one of the most successful global public affairs practices and developing our next generation of leaders.”
A political communications specialist, Ms. Harrison focuses on board-level advice and has more than 30 years of public affairs experience, working at the highest levels in the EU across all sectors and industries. She is an investing member of the Be Angels business angel network in Brussels and a founding board member of the Women’s Forum for the Economy and Society. She has held various Non-Executive Director and leadership roles and was Vice Chair of Downing College Cambridge’s Campaign Committee, helping to lead its successful £20 million fundraising campaign.
“I am honoured to receive this award,” Ms. Harrison said. “It is as much a reflection of the dedication of the team I have worked with as it is about my own personal story. I am very proud of what we have achieved over the years and of the difference I try to make, both professionally and personally, throughout my life.”
Consulting magazine will honour all 2017 winners at The Global Leaders in Consulting Awards dinner on December 7 at Le Meridian Piccadilly in London. Winners will also be featured in the January issue of Consulting magazine.
