The next main installment to Zynga’s popular franchise, the “Farmville 3,” is launching in a few weeks. To help fans prepare for the game’s arrival, the developer has opened the pre-registration pages for Android and iOS users. The agriculture sim will also be released on more devices, thanks to Apple’s M1 chipset.
If Mac users are still wondering how using an ARM-based SoC makes it easier to deliver seamless apps and features from mobile devices to computers, “Farmville 3” might be the proof they need. Zynga confirmed in a press release on Wednesday that the game will be available on Apple laptops and devices powered by the M1 chip. That includes MacBook Air, MacBook Pros, and Mac mini released last year. The latest line of iPad Pro released last spring is also powered by the M1 SoC.
The “Farmville 3” pre-registration is now available to Android and iOS users. Fans who will pre-register will receive updates leading to the game’s launch on Nov. 4. Zynga also encourages fans to immediately install the game once it goes live because the developer will give away exclusive rewards to those who will download it in the first two weeks. The bonus features a “special starter kit” that has exclusive decorations and an “Early Bird profile picture.”
Zynga refers to the game simply as “Farmville 3,” but its full title on Play Store and App Store is “Farmville 3 - Animals,” and the new features of the upcoming game should explain why. The developer announced there would be more than 150 breeds of animals that players can pet, from the usual cow and chicken to the more exotic tigers and alpaca. “Players can adopt, nurture and raise baby animals including lovable chicks, lambs, piglets and many more adorable creatures,” Zynga said. “For their parenting efforts, players will be rewarded with unique farm items to help them along their journey.”
The other major improvement in “Farmville 3” is the weather system. There will be an in-game weather broadcast system that players should always consult. Zynga said the weather would affect the players’ crops and yields, as well as on their fishing trip.
