‘Game of Thrones’ season 7 may feature the return of a supposedly dead character. It was speculated that this recurring character, who was killed off in season 6, will make a surprise comeback. Meanwhile, Maisie Williams expressed her excitement for the incoming season in a recent interview.
According to Comicbook.com, reliable fan website Watchers on the Wall found a surprising piece of information on Walder Frey actor David Bradley. His resume has been updated to include an appearance on the incoming season as the supposedly deceased head of House Frey.
Walder Frey made his last appearance in the tenth and final episode of season 6, titled “Winds of Winter,” written by show creators David Benioff and D. B Weiss and directed by Miguel Sapochnik. The Lord of the Crossing and Lord of Riverrun was eventually killed by a vengeful Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) after being fed Frey Pie. His murder was in retaliation for his involvement in the infamous Red Wedding, where he also betrayed House Stark.
Although Bradley’s resume was reportedly authentic, it did contain an error that showed him to be appearing in season 2 rather than season 3. It was speculated that Frey may not be resurrected just like Jon Snow (Kit Harington) but may possibly appear in flashbacks or as a disguise worn by Arya since she was trained as a Faceless Man.
Meanwhile, Williams expressed her enthusiasm for the incoming season as well season 8. According to E! News, the young actress tweeted, "Just finished reading season 7… S—t gets REAL…I'd start preparing yourselves now…Scratch that, nothing will prepare you for this." She also told host Nick Grimshaw of ‘The Radio 1 Breakfast Show With Nick Grimshaw,’ "People should be very, very excited.”
The 19-year old English actress also admitted her concern for her character saying, "Am I going to die? Just give me a little bit of warning… I make educated guesses and we try and get answers and bits of information from the writers, but they keep it close to their chest. It's so exciting…it's just a great finale, it makes me excited for the series after."
It was speculated that Arya is set to have a grand reunion with her siblings Jon and Sansa (Sophie Turner) in season 7.
‘Game of Thrones’ season 7 is scheduled to return to HBO sometime in summer 2017.
