Korean chicken franchise Genesis BBQ announced the opening of its second overseas delivery and pickup outlet in Vietnam. The company aims to establish a strong foothold in the local food delivery market.
This expansion, KED Global noted, comes after the successful launch of their first delivery store in Englewood, New Jersey, in May of last year.
BBQ Smart Kitchen in Hanoi
The newly opened BBQ Smart Kitchen store in Hanoi exclusively offers fried chicken and beverages for carryout and delivery. Serving as the first of its kind in Southeast Asia, this store represents Genesis BBQ's commitment to meeting the growing demand for convenient and delicious food options in the region.
According to the Korea Times, with Vietnam's food delivery market reaching a staggering 1.9 trillion won ($1.4 billion) as of the end of 2023, Genesis BBQ is strategically positioning itself to capitalize on this lucrative opportunity. The company plans to open additional BBQ Smart Kitchen stores nationwide, tailoring its offerings to cater to Vietnamese consumers' needs and preferences.
Expanding into Asian Markets
Genesis BBQ has ambitious plans to expand its presence in Asian markets further. The company aims to introduce delivery-focused stores in other countries across the region depending on market demands. By leveraging its successful business model and expertise in the food delivery industry, Genesis BBQ is poised for continued growth and success.
In addition to its overseas ventures, Genesis BBQ operates over 2,000 domestic outlets and approximately 700 stores in 57 countries worldwide. These include popular locations such as the United States, Canada, Germany, Japan, Taiwan, and Costa Rica. Through its extensive network of global stores, Genesis BBQ has established itself as a trusted brand synonymous with quality and delectable Korean-style fried chicken.
The Genesis BBQ delivery stores, like the BBQ Smart Kitchen in Hanoi, are designed to provide customers with unparalleled convenience. By focusing solely on carryout and delivery services, the company aims to optimize its operations and streamline the customer experience, ensuring that every order is delivered promptly and efficiently.
