‘Girl Meets World’ season 3, episode 13 is entitled "Girl Meets the Great Lady of New York" and will follow Riley and her classmates as they learn about cultural diversity as well as the city’s rich cultural heritage.
The synopsis for episode 13 posted on Carter Matt stated, “Some of the students are surprised to learn about their diverse heritage during Cultural Week.” It seems that Riley and her classmates will be exploring the different cultural backgrounds in a class trip. It was presumed that the “Great Lady of New York” is the Statue of Liberty and the students would learn about the city’s rich history and multi-ethnic culture and heritage.
It seems that the popular Disney Channel television series based on the long-running ‘Boy Meets World’ series from the 1990s will be sidetracking from its usual coming-of-age and romantic storylines to tackle important social issues for its young audiences.
According to Hall of Fame Magazine, one of the main romantic plots in the series is a love triangle between Riley (Rowan Blanchard), her best friend Maya (Sabrina Carpenter), and their friend Lucas (Peyton Meyer). Maya and Josh’s (Uriah Shelton) relationship is also one that’s been building up recently.
As shown in the preceding episode entitled “Girl Meets Bear”, Zay’s (Amir Mitchell-Townes) apparent interest in Maya may also be shaking up the romantic dynamics in the show. Zay expressed his appreciation for Maya and her friendship despite Maya’s interest in Josh.
According to International Business Times, Zay offered to take Maya out on dates as friends. Zay then asked Josh if the arrangement was alright with him to which the latter replied that the decision was up to Maya. It remains unclear how this new love triangle will come into play in the incoming episodes.
‘Girl Meets World’ is a coming-of-age television sitcom intended as the sequel to the sitcom ‘Boy Meets World’, which aired on ABC from 1993 to 2000. It was created by Michael Jacobs and April Kelly and is produced by Frank Pace with Jacobs executive producing. It stars Rowan Blanchard, Sabrina Carpenter, Ben Savage, Peyton Meyer, and Danielle Fishel.
Season 3’s episode 13, entitled "Girl Meets the Great Lady of New York", is scheduled to premiere on the Disney Channel on September 16, 2016.
