‘Girl Meets World’ season 3 is scheduled to return on the Disney Channel with three final episodes on January 2017. Sabrina Carpenter, who plays Maya on the series, admitted her ignorance of a season 4 renewal during recent interviews.
According to Cartermatt, the sequel series of the highly popular sitcom ‘Boy Meets World’ from the 1990s is set to return to Disney Channel after a mid-season break with three final episodes. The mid-season premiere, titled "World Meets Girl," is scheduled to air on January 6, 2017 as episode 19.
Episode 20 and 21 will be titled "Girl Meets Sweet Sixteen" and "Girl Meets Goodbye," respectively, and will premiere on January 13 and January 20.
While fans of the coming-of-age television series remain hopeful of the show’s continuing run on Disney Channel, no news of a renewal for season 4 has been revealed as of the present. Sabrina Carpenter, who plays Maya Hart on the series, admitted that she didn’t know if a new season was in the works.
She said during an interview with M Magazine at the Z100 Jingle Ball event in New York City, “[The fans] they’re amazing. If I had an update, you would know … I don’t have any updates but we are so excited because we have an incredible few last episodes that are coming and you guys are going to love them, there’s a lot in store.”
She continued, “We love you guys so much and thank you just for supporting the show and everyone you guys have done. You’ve given this whole show such life for this new generation so we appreciate it.”
According to Just Jared Jr, Carpenter admitted the same sentiments during another interview when she was asked about any updates from ‘Girl Meets World.’ The 17-year old actress said, “No, we do not [have an update]. We have been so lucky to work on the show for the past three years and we don’t know what’s happening yet.” She added, “But we’ve got amazing new episodes that are still airing and everyone so far has liked them so we’re really lucky.”
‘Girl Meets World’ season 3’s episode 19 is scheduled to air on Disney Channel on January 6, 2017. It stars Sabrina Carpenter as Maya, Rowan Blanchard as Riley, Peyton Meyer as Lucas, Ben Savage as Cory, and Danielle Fishel as Topanga.
