Grand Auto Theft 6: Rockstar Aims for Creative Perfection with GTA 6, Eyeing 2025 Release

GTA 6 set for a meticulously optimized release, as Rockstar targets perfection.

The publisher of "GTA 6," slated for release in 2025, stated in a financial results call that the game is still polishing its release before the much-awaited open-world game launches.

Take-Two Prioritizes Perfection in 'GTA 6' Release, Amid Soaring Anticipation

When an investor questioned how the publisher chooses when to release a game like "GTA 6," Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two, the parent company of Rockstar Games, replied, "We're seeking perfection, and when we feel we've optimized creatively, that's the time to release." After reassuring investors that "we're all in this together," Zelnick added that executives and developers have financial incentives to ensure that development doesn't go on forever.

"There is inherent tension, potentially, between getting something to market and creating perfection," according to Zelnick, "but this company errs on the side of perfection."

In response to a different investor's question about the previous game, he said, "our sense is that the anticipation [for GTA 6] is much higher - much, much higher. On the other hand, you know, 195 million units [of GTA 5 sold] to date is nothing to sneeze at. We stop well short of making predictions about how the title will do, but clearly anticipation is running very, very high."

By far, the most extended interval between significant entries in the series, "GTA 6" will be launched in 2025, with a 12-year gap between it and GTA 5, as per GamesRadar. That's why there is so much anticipation for the sequel. The first "GTA 6" trailer received 93 million views in a single day, making it the most significant YouTube launch ever for anything other than music videos, as Take-Two reports in its financial report.

The Florida Joker, who was mocked in the GTA 6 trailer, now wants to voice the character after threatening Rockstar with a $10 million lawsuit

The "Florida Joker" from "GTA 6" has decided to change course and has requested to voice the character in the future game instead of threatening Rockstar with a $10 million lawsuit.

After claiming that Rockstar and parent company Take-Two stole his likeness for the "GTA 6" video that debuted in December, Lawrence Sullivan, also known as the "Florida Joker," has once again turned to TikTok to "negotiate" with the game's developers. In the latest video, Sullivan reiterates, "GTA... we gotta talk."

Sullivan had previously sought between $1 and $2 million for using his likeness. "I'm not trying to sue y'all so I'm going to give y'all an extra month," he stated.

Sullivan said in the TikTok, "Hit me up, let me voice the character, give me more storyline in the game and give me a few mill [...] let's make history happen." Like last time, Sullivan credits his content about "GTA 6" for bringing more attention to the upcoming game, "Y'all see what I did for the game. We made news, we made the blogs, everybody's covering me." Sullivan then challenged Rockstar, asking him to track out a person in Florida who could be deemed the "Florida Joker" in its place.

Sullivan won't be dropping this analogy anytime soon. TikTok has threatened to release the "GTA 6" hacker if they increase their payment from a few million dollars to $10 million. In the past, he has colored his hair purple to show how similar he is to the character. Sullivan reiterates that he prefers not to involve attorneys, but "if I've got to, I will."
