‘Grimm’ season 6’s episode 11, titled “Where the Wild Things Were,” will follow Nick and Eve as they find themselves in unfamiliar territory. Capt. Renard will be enlisted to help, leading to an uneasy alliance.
The synopsis for “Where the Wild Things Were” posted on TV Guide reads, “A mysterious portal takes Eve (Bitsie Tulloch) and Nick (David Giuntoli) on a surprising journey. Meanwhile, an uneasy alliance is established when Capt. Renard (Sasha Roiz) is brought in to help and discovers this all may be connected to the person he cares for the most.”
The upcoming episode will follow Eve taking on a new mission to confront a mysterious force she once saw in a mirror. She will then find herself in an unfamiliar place, with Nick finding a way to join her after the team discovers what she has done.
With the final episode of the last season drawing nearer, it seems that the storyline will become more fast-paced and action-packed. It will be interesting to see where Eve and Nick will be taken on this new journey. Meanwhile, Capt. Renard will be brought in to help and they will be forced to forge an alliance despite their differences.
According to Cartermatt, the upcoming episode’s title is a reference to the classic children’s picture book titled “Where the Wild Things Are.” The 1963 book followed a young boy named Max, who is transported into a mysterious island inhabited by creatures and beasts known as “Wild Things.” Max eventually befriends these beasts and becomes the king of the Wild Things until he decides to return home after realizing his loneliness.
The dark fantasy and crime-drama television series debuted on NBC on October 2011 but its long run on the network will be coming to a close. According to Yahoo! TV, executive producer Jim Kouf admitted his disappointment during a recent interview saying, ““We are disappointed that it is coming to a close [but] 5 1/2 seasons were all they wanted.”
Kouf continued, “We were only done because NBC was done. If NBC said ‘more,’ we’d obviously do more. If [fan petitions worked and] Netflix said, ‘We’d do more episodes,’ we’d sure be interested in doing it.” He added that the series would end in such a way that other networks or streaming services could easily pick up where it left off.
‘Grimm’ season 6’s episode 11, titled “Where the Wild Things Were,” is scheduled to air on March 17, 2017. It was directed by Terrence O’Hara and written by Brenna Kouf. It will be followed by episode 12, titled "Zerstörer Shrugged," scheduled to be released on March 24 and directed by Aaron Lipstadt.
