NEW YORK, Oct. 10, 2017 -- GroundTruth (formerly xAd), the leading global technology platform driving in-store visits and sales by leveraging location as the primary source of intent, today announced it received the Trustworthy Accountability Group (TAG) “Certified Against Fraud” seal, demonstrating its leadership in combatting the negative impact of fraudulent traffic across the digital advertising supply chain.
With over 50% of media buyers citing media quality (brand safety, ad fraud, viewability) as a leading challenge, GroundTruth has swiftly responded and ramped up its efforts in the last year to assuage growing concerns around these industry issues. In May, GroundTruth announced expanded partnerships with Media Rating Council (MRC) accredited organizations, DoubleVerify, Integral Ad Science (IAS), Pixalate, and Moat – all market leaders who are also dedicated to addressing these growing concerns. GroundTruth’s TAG “Certified Against Fraud” seal is the next step in the company’s continued commitment to providing transparent, precise, and accurate solutions to its partners.
“In such a short period, these industry issues have become center stage, and rightfully so,” said Serge Matta, President of GroundTruth. “It was not only critical for us to become certified, but it was paramount for us to take a leadership position. At GroundTruth, our DNA has always been about data quality excellence, which is why we’re voluntarily doing everything on our part to implement the best practices set forth by the industry and abide by their parameters to fight ad fraud.”
In order to receive the TAG certification, GroundTruth worked with Pixalate, a leading global intelligence platform and fraud protection provider, to implement rigorous measures to actively monitor, detect, and block general and sophisticated invalid traffic on its network. By receiving daily updated filtration lists from Pixalate, which include Device ID’s, User Agents, App ID, Data Centers, and Domains, GroundTruth can ensure that it has the most up-to-date and comprehensive block lists in place to ensure network quality.
