Hit singer Gwen Stefani is excited to be once again sitting on the red cushioned chair as she tweeted that she cannot wait to be back.
According to Cinemablend, Stefani will be back as a judge on The Voice's upcoming season 19 which NBC has listed for its 2020 fall schedule.
Stefani had left the singing competition after season 17 and was replaced by Nick Jonas on season 18.
So, it will be like Stefani is taking the chair back as she will be replacing Jonas who will not be back for season 19.
No reason, however, has been given so Jonas may yet return to The Voice in another season. This is nothing new for the show as judges come and go.
Before becoming a full-time judge, Jonas was a mentor during the 8th season of The Voice.
This will be the fifth time that Stefani will be a judge on the show. She debuted as a judge back in season 7, then she was back for seasons 9, 12 and 17. And, she was also tapped as the show's mentor on its seasons 8 and 10.
Stefani has been vocal about how she relishes being asked back to the show each time, as USA Today reported.
It seems that it won't be just the fans who will be excited about Stefani's return. Obviously, her boyfriend, Blake Shelton, who is also one of the judges on the show, will also be excited to have her back.
Shelton had not been shy about making everybody know how much he missed Stefani on the show as he often mentioned her during season 18.
Looks like season 19 will be another entertaining round as we will once again be treated to the friendly banter between these two lovebirds who met on the show and started their relationship in 2015.
Stefani and Shelton will be joined by Kelly Clarkson and John Legend who will also be back in The Voice season 19 as judges.
